Joy in the Multiplicity of Life

June 15th, 2012

Grand kids, or in my case, Grand Girls ~ Cherished moments with visiting Granddaughters; to steal a glance of the younger expressions beaming within the maturing child. The memories flood and sweep the smiles into hardy laughter.  Sisters and cousins come together in happy accord and delight, while mesmerized grandparents marinate in the adventure of their inquisitive discoveries.

Family ~ Binding love shared with family; whether Husband, Daughter and Son or Mother, Sister and Brother; far or near, unconditional love that will not waiver.

Extended Family ~ Nephews, Nieces, Aunts, Uncles and oodles of Cousins; those who have gone home, yet live nearby in my heart. Those whose distance has spread, return with antics of joyfulness. Reunions missed, but memories of gatherings spent and the height of pleasure relived.

Friends ~ adopted family who call with concern and listen to your woes and blessings; who bow their heads with prayers of supplication and praise. Friends who whisper, ‘I love you’.  Friends who meet for lunch or a quick cup of tea; friends who call to just check in; smiling messages left to retrieve and return at a later date.

Acquaintances ~ who softly transition into cherished friends while casually walking through the green meadows of harmony.
