Manor on the Lake
Protectors are we that lean upon the ancient wall.
Gaze across the pastures serene into the sky so tall.
Be still for grouse do lie in covey abundant free,
Hasten to flight rooted in sudden invaded privacy.
Feel the season’s breeze that tease the steady lake,
While dancing sun pennies will surly our senses take.
Look upon the manor house where His mighty arms do reach.
Find peace within its shelter and gentleness to teach.
